Charles ("Chuck") Pisano has an extensive litigation practice in the firm's New Orleans office. For more than twenty years he has prosecuted and defended mass tort and class action matters. Examples include serving as lead defense counsel on the successful appeal to the Louisiana Supreme Court of a decision certifying a toxic tort class action in Alexander v. Norfolk Southern Corp., 82 So.3d 1234 (La. 2012). In Cole v. General Motors, No. 01-0123, United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Chuck was approved as class counsel for plaintiffs in a nationwide class action and argued class certification issues before the United State Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. Chuck has been recognized for his work in the The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of "Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Defendants." Representative cases include:
